This boxy-cut statement tee puts it simply: we must end mass incarceration.

The “War on Drugs” was designed in 1971 to target and disrupt Black communities, contributing significantly to the United States’ mass incarceration crisis. Today, the U.S. has more than 2 million people in prisons and jails, 25% of whom have been charged on drug convictions.

These racialized criminalization practices result in the grim truth that Black Americans are nearly four times more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession than a white person, despite equal reported use rates.

Mass incarceration is detrimental to our communities.
