As a parent, I believe this book is a must have for ever teenager. Easy to read and to the point. Sadly, much of the information i didn't know before reading it. Planning to get each of my four children a copy.

It's good to know before hand what to do when you encounter the police or other citizens and determine if your rights are violated.

This is a good starting tool. However, you need to include rude aggressive law enforcement. Sometimes, police incite people (it's happened to me). I had to tell them, i am not talking to them anymore.

The book doesn't tell you how to deal with law enforcement with an attitude. The book assumes law enforcement won't be hostile at the start of an encounter

I absolutely love my ACLU Know Your Rights booklet. It is well organized and straight to the point. It has helped guide me into my groove of knowing all rights we as indivuals have. I highly recommend it to anyone and will order another few for my loved ones soon.
