Equal Pay Button
From its inception in 1971, the so-called “War on Drugs” was designed to target and disrupt Black communities, costing roughly 1 trillion dollars and driving the United States’ egregious mass incarceration crisis. Today, the Trump Administration continues to use the War on Drugs to target immigrant communities. A carefully fabricated rhetoric around immigrants bringing drugs and crime into the country has shaped a mass anti-immigrant hysteria, and drug convictions continue to be one of the most frequent drivers of detention and deportation.
We continue to fight against the War on Drugs, weeding out injustice to make room for liberty to grow.
